Last chance to be a GM for U-Con 2019

The time is drawing near to close our applications for Gamemasters for U-Con 2019! Gamemasters are the creative force behind U-Con, and we couldn’t do what we do without you! But your chance to sign up ends next week, on October 5.

Even if you’ve never done it before, you might be good material for a gamemaster if you:

  • Are the person in your group who usually explains how to play the new games.
  • Know of a hidden gem that doesn’t get a lot of love.
  • Know a super popular game that everybody is clamoring to learn.
  • Like teaching people, or just like people in general.
  • Want to help make U-Con better
  • Like free stuff – GMs that run at least 6 hours of events receive a GM badge, which is your free pass into the Con. Gamemasters who go above and beyond by running a total of 16 hours of games can earn a Play Games All Weekend Ribbon. This ribbon grants access to events all weekend long as if you had a whole pocket full of generic tickets.  These ribbons will be included in the preregistration materials of those who qualify.

Have we piqued your interest? Signing up only takes a few minutes:

To join us as a gamemaster, we need to know a few things about you and the games you want to run. Use our online event submission form and be all set in minutes. We’ll ask for:

  • Your name and contact information
  • Description of the event(s)
  • Scheduling preferences, including how much time to reserve for your event(s)

Once your games are accepted, when you log in, you’ll be able to see your schedule of events and, once registration opens, the number of players ticketed for your event. If you have multiple events, you may follow the prompts to add them before you complete your submission.

Have any questions? Just let us know at contact@ucon-gaming.org or through  https://www.facebook.com/ucongaming/ !
Happy gaming!

p.s. If you miss this registration deadline, don’t fret! We’ve got one more opportunity to sign up through our Games on Demand program (details coming soon).

About

He got re-involved with board gaming when he found a mostly intact copy of HeroQuest at a garage sale. He started volunteering at U-Con in 2015. His current favorites are Bunny Kingdom, Viticulture, and Star Realms, but he's always looking for the next great game.
