Cheapass Games: Get Lucky
James Ernest himself donated this game to the U-Con Games Library. Cheapass Games wr0cks!
I’m back from Origins with many new games for the Games Library including this copy of Get Lucky, which is one of Cheapass Game’s newest reboots. It’s pretty swank too:
I’m not even sure what’s going on…I mean, a Cheapass game with good packaging and all the parts? For comparison, this is what you used to get when you bought Kill Doctor Lucky:
Now they have three games that are not only packaged in more durable and stylish boxes but come with all the parts you need to play the game. (The other two games being Unexploded Cow and Deadwood Studios, both of which I own and both of which are inordinately fun even in their older iterations.) I was joking with the Cheapass booth people about this new and unsettling trend with their games and they assured me that although the games are going up in quality, they are still “cheaper-ass” than other games out on the market. Fair enough.
Many thanks to James Ernest and the Cheapass folks for generously donating the latest and greatest to the Library; I cannot wait to see how the new Get Lucky plays!
