Event Submission is LIVE!!
Event submission is now open!
Attention Gamemasters,
Before submitting events, please read the following:
1. Start times will now be limited according to the length of your event. For example, 4 hour events on Saturday will be scheduled according to our blocks 9a/2p/8p. This would mean that only a few events would be running from 1 pm to 2 pm, or from 6 pm to 8 pm on Saturday.
There are two reasons for this change. First, we want to ensure that all of our guests and GMs have time to eat; have time to check out the Exhibitors Hall, the Game Library, or the Origins Road Show; or just recharge. Second, we want to set aside scheduled time for our seminars and panels so that all may attend. Seminars will be scheduled during these break periods.
2. The age guidelines have been changed. When submitting an event, you will now have four different options: Family Friendly (7+), General Audience (13+), Adults Only (18+), and Mature Content (18+). This helps our guests in selecting events by providing a more accurate description of the content.
As a reminder, U-Con expects GMs to run events totaling up to at least 6 hours in compensation for a weekend badge.
We need more than just Gamemasters: become a volunteer! Volunteers are vital in assisting our convention staff to ensure everything runs smoothly. And we have lots of jobs that require little training. Every little bit helps, and we couldn’t pull off U-Con without our volunteers. Please consider volunteering if you’re not able to Gamemaster.
If you have any questions or concerns, contact us at https://www.ucon-gaming.org/about-u-con/contact-us/
So start submitting those events, and see you all at U-Con 2013!

Thanks!
I was looking at doing some events but wanted to kinda do them for some games I kickstarted. The only problem is that delivery date could be delayed, it’s never exact with kickstarter so I guess is there a way to cancel an event if the game(s) don’t arrive in time?
When is submission deadline?
When is event registration?
Sorry for the ? but this is my second year at Ucon and I really wanted to help out by running some games.
No problem! We love people running games, so ask away!
Event submission is available now. The link is at the top of the left menu.
The absolute submission deadline is in October approximately 4 weeks before the convention. We’re getting the schedule together and will post formal deadlines in the next month. However, if you want your event to have the best chance of getting players then it would be best to submit it by the end of August. We need events in August to have them when we open online preregistration. To get the best of both worlds, you can submit an event, but explain in the description that this is contingent upon receiving materials from a kickstarter. If the timing doesn’t work out, we can cancel the event or you can run something else in it’s place.
