The Organization Behind U-Con Gaming Convention

One week ago, the leadership of U-Con met in a small conference room in Ann Arbor.  We adopted bylaws, and we elected board members.  U-Con Gaming Club is are now a non-profit social organization registered with the state of Michigan.  Essentially, we’ve graduated.

But wait!  What will happen to the convention I know and love?!?

Don’t panic!  The convention will go on!

This is a great boon for us.  We have a lot of flexibility going forward, but our number one priority is to do more than just put on a convention.  We want to grow this convention.  We want to grow it a lot and we need your help.

• Join us!  Come to the convention Oct 26-28.
• Tell your friends about the convention.  Ask them to tell their friends.
• Participate as a gamemaster or volunteer.
• Become a convention organizer.

Determining how to structure the organization so that we could keep doing what we do best was quite the challenge.  It was a heck of a lot of work.  Now we are at the moment when you’ve finished your last college finals.  The future is full of opportunity, and we are excited to deliver another championship convention!
