Origins Awards Games Room

U-Con, GAMA (Game Manufacturers Association) and The Academy of Adventure Gaming, Arts, and Design have joined forces to present the Origins Awards Game Room! Come and join us as we present the very best games of 2008: those submitted to the annual Origins Awards. There will be folks on hand to teach and demonstrate these hot, new board games. Some of these will end up being the same games that you will have an opportunity to vote for at the Origins 2009 Game Expo! Come to U-Con, and play some of the best new games of the year!

Mayfair Games Room

Mayfair is joining U-Con yet again to host their room of events. There you shall find favorites like La Strada, Bang, Dos Rios, and their famous Giant variants of Domaine and Settlers of Catan.

Miniatures Tournaments

U-Con favorite miniatures tournaments have returned!

BG-SA09-01 Blood Bowl: Underworld Cup '07, GM: Bryan Leenheer, 15 - 30 players, 3-C, Saturday 9a - 5p. 2007 sees the continuation of the Underworld Cup. This 5-game, NAF sanctioned, Swiss format tournament guarantees fun to be had by all attendees! LARP stands for Live Action Role Playing. It is an exciting chance to immerse yourself in the roleplaying experience.

Tekumel

We are pleased to announce that once more, UCON is offering the Tekumel Track, a whole weekend of gaming and other events for fans of MAR Barker's World of Tekumel.

Fans of Tekumel from all over the world attend, making this the best place to meet other fans of this amazing and detailed setting.

Events scheduled so far include a Tekumel LARP, seminars on the Languages of Tekumel and how to run a successful campaign, as well as games run by some of the most experienced Tekumel GMs out there. We're actively looking for GM's and players for all events. Please submit your Tekumel event.

Puffing Billy® Tournament

We are pleased about the return of the Puffing Billy® Tournament. The Puffing Billy® Tournament (PBT), named after the first patented locomotive, is sanctioned by the Train Gamers Association (TGA), and these tournaments are held at gaming conventions all over the country.
